Since the mid 1990's, working as the Felt Fairy, I have created decorative objects primarily from a soft luxurious wool blend felt. I love the tactile feel of felt, the warm and homely look, the bright array of colours and the way in which it twinkles when combined with beads, sequins and buttons. Each year/season brings new ideas and designs.

When designing an item I tend to make pieces that I would be happy to adorn my own home with, Christmas decorations being a favourite. If one of my creations makes someone smile I feel I have achieved something worthwhile and am given a boost to carry on creating.

Over the years I have dabbled in all manner of crafts both professionally and as a hobby, finally settling on felt work due to its luxuriant and endearing feel. Aside from my work as The Felt Fairy, I have a passion for fibres and yarns including needle felting, wet felting and knitting.
